2. Ha Giang

The northernmost province of Vietnam is also one of the poorest and most secluded in Vietnam. Cao Bang is 370 km from Hanoi. Buses go from the city to Cao Bang town take about 6-8 hours. You can also rent a motorbike to drive there.
