What type of vehicle will I get from Hanoi Car Hire?
You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group: a sedan (comparable to Toyota Vios, Kia) for up to 3 passengers, MPV for groups of 4 (comparable to a Toyota Innova or Fortuner), or a van (comparable to Fordtransit) for groups of up to 7. For larger groups, a combination of vehicles will be used. Prices fluctuate accordingly, and you can see the exact quote separately. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. Depending on availability, you may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge.
Will my luggage fit?
Each passenger is allowed to have one large bag (29 x 21 x 11 inches) and one small bag (22 x 14 x 9 inches). Luxury sedans can only accommodate 2 checked bags. If you have additional or oversized luggage, you can adjust the number of pieces during checkout. If you have oversized luggage, or are unsure if your luggage will fit, you can contact us.
Where will my driver pick me up?
Your driver can pick you up at your hotel, apartment, cruise ship dock, or any other pick-up point accessible by car. This applies to your drop-off location as well. No need to worry about buses, cabs, or other connections – We provides door-to-door service! If you happen to be in a pedestrian-only area, your driver will meet you at a designated pick-up location.
Will my driver call me to confirm pick-up?
Your driver will meet you at the agreed time and place and won’t be contacting you before, unless necessary. You’ll receive a reminder with your driver’s name and mobile number a few days before departure in case you need to contact him
Will my driver speak English?
Yes! Some drivers speak English as well as Vietnamese language. They’re happy to discuss local history and culture with you, as well as answer any questions you may have. And because they speak the local language, they’re able to provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with natives.
Why haven’t I received any emails from Hanoi Transfers?
We send a confirmation email immediately after you place your order, and an email with your driver’s details a few days before your trip. If you haven’t received any emails from us, it’s possible there’s a typo with your email address or they are going to your spam folder. If you haven’t received any emails, this does NOT mean your trip is cancelled! To update your contact information, please contact us.
How can I pay for renting a Hanoi car service with local driver?
You can pay in advance via credit card and Paypal or directly in cash following your trip. You can use your currency convert into USD or VND. Your bank may use a different exchange rate.
What’s included in the price? Are there any additional fees?
The quoted price is final and there are no additional fees for our services. However, optional third party activities such as tours or attraction fees are not included in the price. Rest assured there will be no surprises or additional fees from Hanoi Transfers with local drivers.
What is your cancellation policy of Hanoi Car Hire with local drivers?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your trip for any reason, simply call or send us an email. We understand that travel plans can change, which is why we don’t charge a fee for changes or cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure.
Is gratuity included/expected with local drivers?
Gratuity is excluded from the total price and is not a requirement. However, if you’re extremely satisfied with the service, you can reward your driver with an optional tip (10% is sufficient).
