1. Hanoi – Tam Coc – Cuc Phuong – Mai Chau

Day1 : Hanoi – NinhBinh

Depart forHoa Lu (Ninh Binh), enjoying the rural scenery along the road. Visit Hoa Lu old citadel. In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes). 16:00 Tour ends. Overnight at  hotel.

Day 2. Ninh Binh – Cuc Phuong – Mai Chau
AM: 7.30 leave for Cuc Phuong National Park. Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescued Centre at 9.00 am. Go trekking about 7km to see 1000 ycars old tree, and the real primitive forest in Viet Nam. After 2 hour trekking. have picnic lunch in the centre of the park.
PM: 1.30 pm drive to Mai Chau. Homestay in lac village or Mai Chan guesthouse, arrival at 5.00 pm. Dinner at 7.00 pm. Free at night or take part in their traditional festival held on travellers s’ requests to enjoy folk songs, dancing with Thai people – Mua Xap, pine wine – Ruou Can. Overnight at village in Maichau.

Day 3 :Mai Chau – Ha Noi
AM: 8.00 am Walking to Thai ethnic minoitty villages to see their lifestyle, culture and stilt houses was built in harmony with marvellous nature. 10.00 am driving to Ha Noi. Having lunch in Man Due town.
PM: 2.00 pm Return to Ha Noi. Stop at Hoa Binh Hydro Power Station.

2.Sapa & Beyond with Viet Nam North West Adventure(6 days 5 nights)

Day 1 (L,D): Ha Noi – Mai Chau – Son La (320kms / 8 hours)

8h00 Pick up at the hotel. Travel through the verdant Red River Delta and witness the day to daylylife of the peasant farmers. Stop in Mai Chau for a short walk then drive onto Son La – the capital of Son La province. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 (B,L,D): Son La – Tuan Giao – Muong Lay (220kms / 7 hours)
Son La has an old French prison and museum, perfect for a small walk to visit in the morning before your departure. From here you’ll carry on to Tuan Giao, then onto Muong Lay (formerly Lai Chau) for the night. You’ll enjoy the picturesque scenery as you pass the villages of Black Thai, White Thai, Meo and Muong peoples.
Day 3 (B,L,D): Muong Lay – Sin Ho – Lai Chau (200kms/7 hours)
From Muong Lay, the drive to Sin Ho is stunning with tiered tea plantations and verdant rice terraces carved into the landscape. Continue to Lai Chau (formerly Tam Duong) for the night. If you happen to be in Lai Chau on a Sunday morning, the town is bustling with activity as the local hill tribes gather for their weekly market day here. Overnight in a hotel or guesthouse.
Day 4 (B,L,D): Lai Chau – Sa Pa (80kms / 3 hours)
From Lai Chau to Sa Pa you pass through Tam Duong (formerly Binh Lu), up over the 1900 meter Tram Ton pass, considered the most beautiful stretch of road in Vietnam. Sa Pa is nestled at over 1600 meters in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains and the valley truly is breathtaking. Enjoy lunch and relax before a 3 hour short trek down this stunning valley, which is sculpted with steep rice terraces, to Ta Van village for a home stay. Your guide will cook you a savory dinner of traditional Vietnamese food that you’ll be raving about, as you enjoy the hospitality of your Dzay hosts.
Day 5 (B-L-D): Sapa
A good day trekking along rice terraces, through lush bamboo forest and local villages includes that of the colorful Dzao hill tribes, and down to a rolling stream for a picnic lunch. After lunch, continue trekking along the rice terraces, trails and dirt roads into Ban Ho for an insightful night with your Tay hosts, where you’ll sleep in the cozy loft complete with comfy mattress and a mosquito net.
Day 6 (B): Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi
Short trek to the dirt road for the jeep ride back to Sa Pa. Enjoy a afternoon to explore Sa Pa town, great shopping in the market for local produce and you can buy handicrafts from many of the local hill tribes selling their wares there. Bus departs Sa Pa at 4:30pm, arrive Lao Cai 6:00pm Night train back to Ha Noi (soft sleeper aircon). Trip ends 5:00am at Ha Noi station.

3. Vietnam North East Adventure (5 days 4 nights)

This area offers breathtaking views and interesting subcultures. The North East mountainous areas of Ba Be Lake, Cao Bang and Ha Giang offer unique opportunities for rugged jeep rides and trekking routes. It is the least traveled area of the north and often attracts the more hardy travelers craving a glimpse of some of the more remote ethnic minority people

Day 1 (L,D): Ha Noi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be National Park (240kms/7 hours)
8h00. Pick up at the hotel. As you head out of Ha Noi, over the Red River on the Chuong Duong Bridge, the suburbs quickly give way to the sprawling farm lands of the Red River Delta. Travel north along Hwy 3 to Thai Nguyen for a stop to enjoy a lunch of traditional Vietnamese food. Worth a visit here is the Museum of the Cultures of Viet Nam Ethnic Groups. Leaving the delta behind, you’ll start climbing into the mountainous area of Ba Be National Park. Take a short boat trip (30 minutes) to a Tay village for dinner and home stay in a local house.
Day 2 (B,L): Ba Be – Cao Bang (120kms/4 hours)
Ba Be National Park, surrounded by rugged limestone mountains it is Viet Nam’s only natural mountain lake. This important eco-system is best known for its over 330 species of butterflies! Have breakfast with your Tay hosts. The lush forest clinging to the surrounding mountains is your backdrop as you explore the lake. Reach the end of the lake and stop for a trek to Dau Dang waterfall. Meet your Jeep, head north through the lush mountain passes to the city of Cao Bang. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 3 ( B, D) Ban Gioc Waterfall (85kms/2.5 hours)
Jeep ride to Ban Gioc, visit the waterfall. On this day you’ll take a scenic in insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone karst formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you’ll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Heading back to Cao Bang, stop to explore the expansive 2,144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern to discover its brilliant stalactites. Return to Cao Bang and overnight in Hotel.
Day 4 (B,L): Cao Bang – Lang Son (140kms/4 hours)
Before departing Cao Bang, consider climbing the hill up to the War Memorial, it offers a great panoramic view of the area. Hop in the Jeep for a ride along famous Highway 4. The road winds its way through steep mountain passes where much of the land remains untouched, the vista views are truly spectacular! Lang Son is the capital of this mountainous area and is an important crossing and trading route with China, the area is home to Dzao, Man, Tho and Nung ethnic minority groups. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 5 (B,L): Lang Son – Ha Noi (160kms/3.5 hours)
As a trading post, Lang Son has two markets worth visiting, the Old Market and the Dong Kinh Market. Youll find everything from electronics and gadgets to textiles and house wares. Its definitely buyer beware, as theres lots of knock-offs of the original. If the markets arent your thing then just a couple of kilometers from town are two large, beautiful caves and the ruins of the Mac Dynasty Citadel worth a visit. Tam Thanh Cave contains a pond and offers great views of the surrounding farmlands. Nhi Thanh Cave, formed by the river that flows through it, has poems carved into the entrance by the man who discovered the cave in the 18th century. After your morning of exploration its time for lunch and prepare for the trip back to Hanoi. The highway from Lang Son is a modern 4 lane divided highway that quickly carries down from the mountains, back onto the Red River Delta and into Ha Noi. Trip ends in Ha Noi.
