After a delight visit in Hanoi, we take you to Danang, infamous for its Cham Museum, the Marble Mountains and China Beach enroute to Hoi An, an inspiring artists’ colony that was earmarked as one of Southeast Asia’s most important ports for many centuries, renown for its unsurpassed charm accentuated by white sand beaches and numerous well-preserved ancient buildings. Finally, we bring you to the vibrant metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon and forever known as the “Paris of the East”, that has rapidly blossomed as one of Asia’s hottest spots, offering visitors Vietnam’s best cuisines, a bustling nightlife and deluxe accommodations.

 Day 1 Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Hanoi

Today’s visits include the One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th century constructed of wood on a single stone pillar; Hoan Kiem Lake a beautiful lake located in the heart of Hanoi; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, a glass sarcophagus set deep in the bowels of a monumental edifice that has become a site of pilgrimage (Closed Mondays and Fridays); The Opera House, Temple of literature, St Joseph Cathedral and Old Quarters, a colorful marketplace where one can buy anything from herbal medicines to silk garments to gold jewelry. Lunch and dinner at Le Tonkin Restaurant and Emperor Restaurant or similar, respectively. (B,L,D)

 Day 3 Hanoi

This morning, experience your very first Vietnamese cooking lesson (join basis) at Sofitel Metropole Hotel. Set in a stylish ambience of a restored French villa, our guests will enjoy a morning of  preparing and savoring three traditional Vietnamese dishes. Transfers and lunch are included. Enjoy the balance of the afternoon at your leisure to relax or explore Hanoi. (B,L)

Day 4  Danang / Hoi An

Fly to Danang, visit the Marble Mountain and Cham Museum then transfer by road to Hoi An, a picturesque riverside town south of Danang. Known as Faifo to early western traders, it was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Sightseeing includes Quan Cong Temple, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, and Japanese Covered Bridge. Lunch at a local Vietnamese cuisine and dinner at Brothers’ Cafe’ or similar, respectively. Overnight in Hoi An (B,L,D)

 Day 5  Hoi An

Your morning is free to relax on the palm-fringed beaches or explore the city of Hoi An on your own. In the afternoon, enjoy a cooking lesson at the Red Bridge Restaurant, which includes a market visit and your very own Vietnamese dinner before returning to the hotel. Includes private transfers. Day 6 Hoi An / Danang / Ho Chi Minh City

Today’s journey begins with an excursion to My Son, considered to be Champa’s counterpart to Angkor and Bagan, the great cities of South East Asia’s other Indian-influenced civilizations. The monuments are set in a verdant valley surrounded by hills and overlooked by massive Cat’s Tooth Mountain. Transfer to the airport for your flight  to Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch and dinner at the Kim Do Restaurant and Ba Mien Restaurant or similar, respectively. Overnight in HCM City (B,L,D)

Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City

Today’s tour brings you to the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels, an important base during the Vietnam War, due to its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered during the war. Lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at the Temple Club or similar. Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City

The day begins with a fabulous 5-hour culinary lesson at the SAIGON COOKERY CENTER followed by a sightseeing tour by rickshaw through the back alleys and side-streets of Cholon (Chinatown), the sprawling Chinese neighborhood to the west of the city, with stops at the bustling Binh Tay Market and the Thien Hau Pagoda. Other visits include The Reunification Palace, the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, it was stormed by tanks on 30 April 1975, signifying the fall of South Vietnam; Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Notre Dame Cathedral. This evening, enjoy a cruise on the Bonsai River with dinner served on board.. (B,L,D)

Day 9 My Tho

Today’s tour takes you on an Mekong River Boat excursion to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province where its economy thrives on fishing and cultivation of rice, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, longans and citrus fruits. We will also enjoy a remarkable visit to the Mekong Delta, located in the southernmost region of Vietnam, where silt deposits extend the delta shoreline at the mouth of the river by as much as 79m per year, also known as Vietnam’s ‘bread basket’ as it produces the rice that feeds the entire country; and the palm fringed Dragon and Phoenix Islands. Lunch and dinner at Trung Luong and Le Mekong Restaurant or similar, respectively. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 10 Depart Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight onwards. (B)
