This tour to Dong Van Karts Geopark offers you the highlights of the region driving along the main road, visiting typical places that can not be missed when visiting the province. The tour is type of driving one, most of your time is spent in the car for driving from A to B but we will do our best to give you good paces so that you won’t feel tiring of doing the tour activities.

Average driving speed on the mountian roads is 35km per hour. The distances between the destinations are viewed as follows:

Hanoi – 300km – Ha Giang City – 150km – Dong Van Town – 150km – Ha Giang City Town – 300km – Hanoi

+) Accommodation is expected to be basic but the top of the areas will be used for your best confort possible.

+) Food is very local, too. There is no western food to expect except bread, fried eggs for breakfast at some places. Meals are at local food stores but we always choose the most acceptable one.

DAY 1: HANOI – HA GIANG CITY

Depart from Hanoi at 8.00 AM, our drive to Ha Giang occupied most of the day. There are stops on the way for photo opportunities and having lunch. Arrive at a hotel in Ha Giang City, check in and rest for the remainder of the day. Dinner and overnight in Ha Giang City.

 (The altenative accommodation tonight can be arrange in a local house at a Tay ethnic village nearby for a homestay experience. Let our travel specialist know before the trip.)

DAY 2: HA GIANG CITY – QUAN BA – YEN MINH – DONG VAN

After having breakfast, we set out for the morning drive up to the highland region of Ha Giang. The scenery is getting more stunning with high passes and august mountains. The typical photo opportunities are at Quan Ba pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate with some steps to a view point atop a hill. Have lunch break at Yen Minh town. The afternoon drive is amazing, the driver will do his best for you to stop as often as possible for you to admire the scenery and taking photographs on the way as you are traveling thru’ the Karst Geo-park. Dong Van Karst Plateau is unique combination between Geoheritages and cutural heritages. Up to 80% of the karst formations of Dong Van Plateau are limestone formed by environment conditions and different development stages of nature. The scenery is amazing and the local life and the culture of the hill tribes such as the H’mong is something that will be very memorable for your trip. One of the typical stops is the residence of the Vuong family, still called “Palace of Hmong King”. Arrive at Dong Van Town, check in your hotel and relax for the remainder of the day. Dinner and overnight at Dong van.

DAY 3: DONG VAN – MEO VAC – HA GIANG CITY

This morning, on the way towards Meo Vac, we will make a stop is at Ma Pi Leng Pass. Scenery in Ma Pi Leng pass is unique with majestic and wild beauty. From the Pass, you can see thousands of gray mountains concatenate to the horizon. Next to the road is abyss and tiny Nho Que River bottoms the huge abyss. Continue on the drive through the small town of Meo Vac back to Yen Minh town on a different road. The landscape is not less impressive than the day before while you are traveling on a winding road amongst the grey stones. Lunch is served at a local food store in Yen Minh. In the afternoon, we just easily downhill toward Ha Giang City. Check in your hotel for the night.

DAY 4: HA GIANG CITY – HANOI

After your breakfast at the hotel. The fullday journey takes you back to Hanoi. Lunch is on the way. Arrive in Hanoi late in the afternoon and end the tour at your hotel.
